Requirements
Decent version of windows
mysql4 or higher installed
test database setup with no password
both files installed in same dir, or dll put in windows\system or winnt\system32 or whatever


Socrates will eventually allow the offline importing of cubecart databases that have been exported from a live cubecart store.

Multiple fast product additions, deletions and calculations and other operations will be able to be performed locally, with the speed and convenience of direct access in Windows. The relevant updated databse sections will then be exportable back into an updated exported database to upload into your live store.

Additionally, enhanced offline statistics will be able to be visualised. Also integrity checking and other options could be considered, due to the flexibility of having an offline system.

All this without sapping online bandwidth and resources.

The current early alpha will basically just attempt to import your exported database and browse it. The export function is no where near complete and must not be considered at the moment.
